About this speaker

Emily Francis leads the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership (GPNP), a coalition of more than 500 nonprofit leaders, organizations, and partners advancing equity and prosperity across Southwestern Pennsylvania. She is known for cultivating collaborative spaces that bring funders, policymakers, and community leaders together to drive systems-level change. 

Under her leadership, GPNP has strengthened its role as a trusted hub for advocacy, capacity-building, and innovation — most notably through The Forbes Funds’ nationally recognized AI Cohorts for Social Impact, which promote ethical, community-centered uses of artificial intelligence. 

Emily holds bachelor’s degrees in Intelligence Studies and Public Health from Mercyhurst University and a master’s degree in international development from the University of Pittsburgh, with a concentration in civil society and NGOs. She is passionate about data-informed, equity-driven solutions rooted in lived experience and collective impact.
