Ilyssa Manspeizer, Ph.D. is the founding CEO of Landforce, a social enterprise that combines workforce development with environmental stewardship. She leads efforts to create sustainable employment opportunities for people typically excluded from family-sustaining jobs, while advancing regional sustainability goals. An anthropologist with 30 years of experience in community development and natural resource conservation, Ilyssa has worked across the U.S., U.K., Ethiopia, and Zambia. She previously directed the Emerald View Park initiative and served as Executive Director of the Mount Washington CDC. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Binghamton University, an M.Sc. in Nature Conservation from University College London, and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Rutgers University.
