About this speaker

LaKeisha Wolf is the Executive Director of Ujamaa Collective, a Hill District-based nonprofit cooperative she co-founded. For over two decades, she has worked at the intersection of arts, entrepreneurship, and community development, supporting Africana women-owned craft industries and curating cultural programming. LaKeisha launched Ujamaa’s first direct fair trade relationship in East Africa and oversees its artisan retail boutique. A creative entrepreneur and teaching artist, she centers racial justice, nature, and economic empowerment in her work. She is a 2021–2022 Sybil’s Shrine Artist-in-Residence and a current member of the 2024–2025 1Hood Artivist Academy cohort.
